Summary:

This video is a recipe video from one of my favourite YouTubers. This post was made so that I could explore how the Wix blog function works as well as to give you an idea of what I expect the format of my students' blog posts to look like. I suppose that I could have included a TED Talk to make it more relevant to the learning module, but I thought that this would be more fun.

This is a good fusion recipe. I recommend it!

Notes:

The biggest downside to the Wix blog function is that it does not allow you to create tables, which would make it difficult for students to create actual note outlines in the actual post. This essentially requires students to create their outlines in a Google Document and link it to the post. I have to explore other blog options to see if these may be a better alternative before using this module in an actual class.

The advantage to the Wix blog function, however, is that it does not require students to sign up for an account to use it. The one downside is that it does require an email address in order for students to be given authorship -- I assume that most students would have these already, given that they are enrolled in a college or university EAP program. However, if I wanted to completely avoid students having to use their email addresses, I could get them to email me their blog posts and I would post to the blog for them.
